Lorrius says award makes him want to do more

Most people would view an award from their college recognizing their community service as validation for their work.
But for Jordan Lorrius, a student at Eastern Connecticut, receiving the school’s Dr. Martin Luther King Distinguished Service Award just increases his expectations for himself.

Two heavy-duty tow trucks lift an oil truck carrying about 1,500 gallons of oil after it overturned on Flanders Road in Coventry on Thursday morning.

Fire wrecks Ashford garage

Five area fire departments responded with either equipment or manpower to battle a blaze that totally destroyed the upper floor of an Ashford Lake garage Wednesday afternoon.
