AHM to host program for parents who’ve lost children

candleinwindowAndover, Hebron, Marlborough Youth and Family Services is planning a special bereavement support program to be hosted by the Church of the Holy Family in Hebron.

This informational and support program will be on Wednesday, Dec. 2, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

The evening session will address the needs and concerns of parents, friends and family who are grieving the death of a child.

The loss of a child might be recent or many years ago.

AHM staff members Elise Strickland and Michael Glazier will facilitate the discussion and welcome anyone who has experienced the death of a child. Local residency for this AHM program is waived.

Former members of the AHM bereavement support group will also be in attendance to share their stories and support.

Through this gathering, AHM staff member hope grieving parents will know they are not alone and healing is possible.

Although this is a single session meeting, there will be an opportunity to continue support within a group setting.

Call the AHM offices in case of inclement weather on the evening of this program. Participants will be meeting in the downstairs hall at the Church of the Holy Family, Route 85, Hebron.

There is no fee for this program or for ongoing bereavement support services from AHM.
